In 2002, following the conclusion of his lengthy program, Donahue made a brief comeback to television with a show on MSNBC.
During the Cold War, he also co-hosted an avant-garde television discussion series in the 1980s with Soviet journalist Vladimir Posner.
Furthermore, Donahue co-directed the Academy Award-nominated documentary Body of War in 2006.
Donahue’s five children from a previous marriage—four sons and a daughter—remain. According to NBC.
