A criminal investigation into Anastasia’s death has been initiated by the committee.
According to a statement, the youngster “threw a javelin, which hit the head of an underage pupil of the school born in 2011,” when the instructor was not watching.
“The victim was taken to a medical facility right away to receive medical assistance, and she passed away from her injuries a few days later.”
The investigation has examined all aspects of the incident, questioned witnesses, staff members of the sports school and the relevant ministry.
Seized documents that govern the process for holding field training sessions and guaranteeing safety, and other steps are being taken to gather evidence, the statement said.
“A proper legal assessment will be given to the actions of those responsible.”
The coach has not commented on the girl’s death, thus it was unclear whether he had been placed under arrest while the inquiry was underway.
