Plane Crash in San Diego Claims Lives of Drummer Daniel Williams and Talent Agent Dave Shapiro

Two of the six victims in last week’s tragic plane crash in San Diego have been identified as renowned music industry figures: drummer Daniel Williams.

Formerly of The Devil Wears Prada, and Dave Shapiro, talent agent for Sum 41 and co-founder of Sound Talent Group.

The Cessna 550 jet went down in the early hours of Thursday, May 22, crashing into the Murphy Canyon neighborhood at approximately 3:47 a.m.

The fiery impact destroyed multiple homes and vehicles, igniting a scene described by first responders as “chaotic” and “devastating.”

“We have jet fuel all over the place,” said Assistant Fire Chief Dan Eddy during a press briefing.
