Plane Crash in San Diego Claims Lives of Drummer Daniel Williams and Talent Agent Dave Shapiro

Shapiro was also an experienced pilot and aviation entrepreneur. He owned Velocity Aviation and Velocity Records, and had recently opened an office for his talent agency inside a San Diego aircraft hangar.

According to the company’s website, Shapiro held an airline transport pilot rating and was passionate about all aspects of flight, from BASE jumping to helicopter piloting.

Also on board was Daniel Williams, known for his work as the drummer of the metalcore band The Devil Wears Prada.

Although his death has not been officially confirmed by authorities, his family has released statements confirming the loss. Williams had recently shared a photo from the co-pilot seat with the caption.
