Video captures the topless woman scrambling onto the back of the beast as witnesses yell for her to stop during the Tuesday, July 19, incident in the seaside Dutch town of Zandvoort, west of Amsterdam.
The woman has subsequently turned herself in, according to RTL Nieuws, after police launched an inquiry after watching the footage.
“It was’very disturbing’ to see the long-beaked dolphin in this setting,” Annemarie van den Berg, of the aquatic mammal rescue group SOS Dolfijn, told RTL Nieuws.
