Police confirm the planned “bomb attack” at yesterday’s Lady Gaga event, which drew two million people.

Over two million people attended Lady Gaga’s free concert, and the state of Rio de Janeiro’s Civil Police have said that they were successful in stopping a “bomb attack” that was planned.

Lady Gaga, real name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, gave her largest performance to date yesterday, May 3, at a two-hour spectacle at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil’s Copacabana Beach.

The event, which the 39-year-old performed for free as part of her world tour to promote her album Mayhem, is thought to have drawn an incredible 2.1 million people.

Since then, the Rio de Janeiro Civil Police have issued a statement claiming that they stopped a “bomb attack” from occurring during the event.
