Police say a fourth child could be found soon, and the search for the mother who left three babies in London has shrunk to 400 residences.

Police say another baby may have been recovered, and the search for the mother who left three children in London has shrunk to about 400 residences.

Ever since siblings Harry, Roman, and Elsa were discovered in 2017, 2019, and 2024, investigators have been working to unravel the mystery.

They now think that the 400 properties in East Ham and Plaistow are the only places they need to look for the mother, or whoever left the children.

The Met announced last June that the three were siblings based on DNA testing.

Since then, officers have been knocking on people’s doors, requesting voluntary DNA samples and encouraging anyone with knowledge to come forward.

Their mother’s complete DNA profile has been established by investigators, but despite the analysis of hundreds of hours of CCTV footage and the offer of £20,000, her identity is still unknown.

According to senior investigating officer Detective Inspector Jamie Humm, the person who left the infants did so in an area lacking CCTV.
