On January 18 of last year, in below-freezing weather, Elsa was discovered in a reusable shopping bag, wrapped in a towel, at the intersection of Greenway and High Street South in East Ham.
In late January 2019, while the capital was engulfed in snow and frigid weather, Roman was discovered in similar conditions a short distance away, in a play area off Roman Road, Newham.
In September 2017, their brother Harry was discovered in Plaistow’s Balaam Street, wrapped in a white blanket.
Mr. Humm stated that he thought their mother ‘is in danger’ after all three children were left in uncanny regions.
He stated: “As a senior investigating officer, I think the most likely hypothesis is that the mother of these children is vulnerable, in danger, and in a position where they feel that they are unable to come forward for whatever reason.”
“In any police investigation, you make your tactical decisions around hypotheses.” The mother is being treated as a “victim” by the cops, he said, and the force is “on standby to support her with everything she needs.”
