President Donald Trump Addresses the Helicopter Crash on the Hudson River

Experts in aviation are starting to piece together the potential technical issues that led to the helicopter crash, providing preliminary information about what might have gone wrong in the air.

Kyle Bailey, an aviation analyst, proposed that the cause might have been a catastrophic separation of the rotor blades.

The blades might have severed the helicopter’s tail boom if they had separated in midair. a situation that would make the airplane unmanageable.

Another aviation specialist, JP Tristani, called such a disaster “unsurvivable.” “If that articulating head actually separated from the aircraft, the aircraft was doomed,” he said.

“That plane could never have performed a typical landing at all. It would crash.

“You’re just a falling brick,” Tristani continued, adding that the aircraft is in freefall if the rotor head or even a single blade is lost. There is absolutely no possibility for you.”
