President Donald Trump Addresses the Helicopter Crash on the Hudson River

According to FlightRadar24 data and CNN’s flight analysis, the chopper was in the air for about 16 minutes before crashing into the Hudson River.

The weather was moderately difficult at the time of the collision. There were gusts of up to 25 mph and winds ranging from 10 to 15 mph.

Although there was decent visibility at ground level, overcast skies and light rain were reportedly approaching at ten miles, which might make flying more difficult.

Air traffic controllers promptly alerted neighboring helicopters to check the river following the collision. “Please don’t close your eyes.

Over the frequency, an emergency response pilot remarked, “You [sic] guys, please let us know if you see anything in the water.”
