‘Puff the Magic Dragon’ co-writer and folk hero Peter Yarrow passed away at the age of 86.

Just before he left office in 1981, President Jimmy Carter granted him a pardon. Additionally, Yarrow co-wrote Mary MacGregor’s No. 1 hit song from 1976, “Torn Between Two Lovers.”

After reuniting in 1981, Peter, Paul, and Mary performed until Mary Travers passed away in 2009 due to complications from leukaemia. After that, Yarrow and Stookey both performed.

As solo performers; Yarrow was active in the folk music scene until his illness made it impossible for him to continue, and he often performed with his daughter, Bethany.
