A mother of nine children, Rachel Campos-Duffy plays an even more demanding task behind the television cameras and political comments.
Alongside her husband, former Congressman Sean Duffy, Campos-Duffy has adopted a lifestyle that is publicly criticized by some, questioned by many, and admired by others.
“I didn’t think my announcement that I was expecting my ninth child would wind up on political blogs and tabloid websites,” she remembers.
I noticed the most hate speech there. I was being referred to as an environmental terrorist and reckless. It was strange, yet instructive. “They were gifts, so we didn’t plan for nine.”
Contrary to what some people believe, Campos-Duffy never intended to have a big family. None of them were planned by us.
