The series, which features Nicole Kidman, Witherspoon, Laura Dern, Shailene Woodley, and Zoë Kravitz, chronicles a group of women in Monterey, California, who become embroiled in a murder investigation.
It was disclosed when the actress made a reference to her and Kidman’s co-star, Dern. Kidman intervened, stating, “I despise the way you refer to her as Dern.”
The Australian legend responded, “Because it sounds weird!” when Witherspoon inquired as to the reason.
