Sadly, James Lee Williams, better known by their stage moniker The Vivienne, died at the age of thirty-two.
The Vivienne gained notoriety for their extravagant image after taking first place in the first season of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK in 2019.
Simon Jones, their publicist, announced the news of Williams’s passing on Sunday night in a touching Instagram post.
“We regret to inform you that our beloved James Lee Williams, also known as The Vivienne, passed away this past weekend,” Jones tweeted. James was a wonderful, kind, and much-loved individual.
The death of their brother, uncle, and son has devastated their family. The amazing accomplishments James accomplished in their life and job fill them with pride.
