Six persons inside the Mercedes passenger van and the driver of the Dodge Ram truck died, according to a press statement from Idaho State Police.
According to police spokesperson Aaron Snell, who talked to The Detroit News, the vehicle was carrying 14 tourists, and the people that survived were taken to the hospital for treatment of their wounds.
The cause of the crash is still being looked into.Family members of those murdered and injured are still being contacted, according to Idaho State Police. Their identities are still under wraps.
