Shocking amount of money stranded astronauts are likely to be paid after 8-day mission turned into over 9 months

The time it takes for SpaceX and NASA to safely return the two stranded astronauts to their homes is drawing near.

You have to wonder whether they are at least receiving a respectable salary for spending so much time stranded in space.

In what was intended to be a week-long expedition, NASA astronauts Barry “Butch” Wilmore and Sunita “Suni” Williams have remained aboard the ISS since late June.

But they were left stranded in orbit when their Boeing Starliner aircraft had technical issues. The waiting period gradually dragged on for nine months and counting.

The rescue operation was prepared only yesterday, March 12, when SpaceX was scheduled to launch Crew-10 from Florida on a Falcon 9 rocket and Dragon spacecraft.
