A tragic incident in Indonesia has left a community in mourning after a 55-year-old grandmother was found unresponsive after an encounter with a large python near her home.
Wa Siti was tending to her vegetable garden in South East Sulawesi when the incident occurred. Concerned when she didn’t return, her son,
La Faru, went to search for her on April 9. What he discovered stunned him and the entire village — his mother had been caught by a 23-foot python.
Local residents, equipped with flashlights and tools, rushed to help. Working together, they managed to retrieve Wa Siti from the python. Sadly, it was too late to save her.
