Simone Biles’ biological mother is prepared to meet the Olympic hero in person, stating that she is eager to rectify the situation after decades of neglect.
Biles was placed in foster care when she was an infant due to her mother, Shanon, struggling with drug and alcohol addiction.
In 2003, Ron and Nellie, Simone’s maternal grandparents, intervened and adopted her and her sister, Adria.
In a recent interview, Shanon expressed her desire to compensate for the time she has lost, but she is deferring to Simone and Adria to establish the necessary arrangements.
Shanon stated to the Daily Mail, “I am awaiting Simone and Adria, her younger sister, in order to personally reconcile.”
