Warning: Some readers may find upsetting the subject of suicide in this article. Legendary actor and comedian Sir Billy Connolly has shared with him the moving last words Robin Williams uttered.
Back in 2014, at the age of 63, Connolly, 81 had been close friends with Mrs. Doubtfire and Night at the Museum actor, who sadly committed suicide.
Originally meeting on a Canadian chat program, the duo stayed in contact over the next years and Williams visited Scotland numerous times.
Connolly has discussed his relationship with Williams and explained how their last call had “felt like a goodbye” ahead of his appearance on new BBC series In My Own Words which airs tonight, 2 September.
Remembering his last meeting with Williams, Connolly said the actor had contacted him up and asked if they may go to dinner together.
