Police Sergeant Major Prawat Phonhongsa, another mechanic, was hurt and hasn’t been found until this morning.
It follows the 2023 engine explosion that caused a tourist jet carrying 321 passengers in Thailand to catch fire. The pilot had to quickly cancel the trip since the aircraft’s tires burst during takeoff.
On a Russian tourist airliner in Phuket, Thailand, 309 passengers and 12 staff members were evacuated during the incident and had to wait for a replacement aircraft.
Dramatic images and videos revealed that a “engine surge” caused the Boeing 767-306ER to suddenly catch fire. A ‘loud explosion’ was reported during the takeoff emergency.
According to accounts, when the aircraft canceled its departure, the landing gear on the same right side of the aircraft caught fire.
