Stroller containing father’s twin kids pushed into train tracks, praising father’s noble dying gesture.

This should have been just another ordinary excursion for the family, who had just landed in Australia from India.

The carriage, which held the two-year-old children, slid into the rails after the kids had used the elevator to go to the platform, which was across the street.

Even though the train wasn’t supposed to stop at Carlton Station on its way from Cronulla to Bondi Junction, it came close to the station while the stroller lay on the rails.

Superintendent Paul Dunstan of the New South Wales Police said that the father then did what he called “an incredibly brave and heroic act” by jumping across the tracks to save his kids, but the train ran them over.

The second twin, fortunately unhurt, was rescued by emergency personnel who arrived minutes after the tragedy and heard cries coming from under the train.
