The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office has now determined that the victim is David Alvarado, 43. At the scene, he was declared dead.
A family member phoned police to report that their relative could have been engaged in a gunshot along the River Walk, and officers were sent to a separate residence shortly after the incident.
At the scene, Talano was taken into custody without any problems. He is accused of murder. The inquiry is still ongoing.
