Dlava’s sister, who suffered serious injuries in the collision, explained that her sister had been going to the Deb’s ball with her and that the event had permanently altered the course of her life.
Telling McGinn to’stop’ before ‘everything went dark’, Auin recalled the crash. She admitted to the court that she had been unaware of the deaths of the two teenagers for months.
Breffni Gordon, the mitigating party, said the court that McGinn was deeply hurt in the crash and expressed regret.
They also mentioned that the driver had pled guilty in advance and apologized to the families of the victims.
The court was informed that McGinn also lost his money, his job, and his connection with his wife and kids. The sentencing is scheduled for next Wednesday, May 14.
