The Times reports that the insane fan arrived at the Majury residence in Naples, Florida brandishing a shotgun and swung the front door open. His weapon was fortunately jammed.
The 18-year-old shooter was pursued until he fled by Rob Majury, a former lieutenant in the Jersey City police force, but the father knew to wait at the front entrance in case Justin returned.
Well, a little while later, Rob was ready when Justin came back. He carried and fired a shotgun. On the front lawn, Rob fatally shot Justin.
The retired New Jersey police officer stated, “I took action and neutralized the threat at that point.”
Rob Majury’s family is still concerned about Ava’s safety even though he was not charged under Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” legislation.
