“The loss of Judy, Chad, and Jason is a burden we carry every day,” Osborne said. “These are wounds that will never fully heal.”
She also addressed the broader issue of domestic violence, noting that her sister had lived in fear prior to her death.
“No one should have to live in fear like our sister did,” Osborne said. “We hope others in abusive relationships know they are not alone.
Leaving is hard—we understand that. But we urge those who can to seek help, and we call on communities and governments to provide more resources for those in need.”
Mike Robirds, brother of the slain Judith Robirds Smith, added: “This case is a reminder of the devastating consequences of domestic violence. No family should ever have to endure what we’ve lived through.”
