After consuming the candy, Luis became unconscious. His father, Rafael Silva, performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on him before he was sent to Imperatriz Municipal Hospital.
Last Thursday at 4 a.m., he passed away after being resuscitate from cardiac arrest.
Lira’s status is stable and she is still being monitored at the same facility. She is expected to be freed in the following three days after responding well to her treatment.
