Although authorities have said that they would investigate the event, they have not yet sent the matter to the Police Investigations and Review Commissioner.

“We attended an address in Johnstone around 11.15 a.m. on Tuesday, 15 April, 2025, following the death of a 17-year-old girl,” a Police Scotland spokeswoman said.
