The 2024 presidential campaign of Joe Biden has been officially ended.

Gretchen Whitmer, the current governor of Michigan, is another possibility; Harris also has experience in government.

Since Biden’s departure, Whitmer has been mentioned as a possible 2028 contender.

Democratic commentators have speculated that California governor Gavin Newsom might replace Biden as the party’s candidate in 2028.

The fact that Pete Buttigieg, the secretary of transportation, wants to be president is also well known.

The fall of the Baltimore Bridge and the derailment of the East Palestine train are only two of the many crises he has successfully managed in his present position.

There may not be enough time to have a primary, so the Democrats may choose a new candidate during their August national convention in Chicago.

No matter who the Democrats pick to succeed Biden, they’ll need to move quickly to prevent more ground loss.
