A Hollywood film producer claims that talks about Amber Heard’s possible recasting in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom sprang from her on-screen romance with Jason Momoa.
The DC Extended Universe (DCEU) published James Wan’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom in December of last year.
As a straight sequel to 2018’s Aquaman, the film was the DCEU’s fifteenth and last before James Gunn’s anticipated makeover takes place the following summer.
Momoa, 44, returned to play the project’s title superhero, and Heard, 38, made her fourth appearance as Mera.
Nevertheless, rumors that Warner Bros. intended to “drop the actress” from the sequel completely because of her well-known legal dispute over defamation with her 61-year-old ex-husband Johnny Depp clouded the release.
Heard stated in court that she “fought hard to stay in the movie.” They refused to have me in the movie.
