While promoting her latest film, Space Cadet, Roberts went on the podcast Table for Two with Bruce Bozzi and discussed her experience of getting turned down for parts.
When discussing nepo infants and their great jobs, Roberts said that she does not believe people always take the whole picture into account.

She elaborated, saying, “That’s the thing that I always talk about – people kind of only see your wins because they only see when you’re on the poster of a movie.” Not every setback they encounter is visible to them,
That’s why I’m never shy about discussing roles for which I was considered but ultimately turned down.
“If we don’t bring it up, everyone will assume that everything has been smooth sailing the whole time, but trust me, that isn’t the case. Nevertheless, from an outside vantage point or when seen with the unaided eye, it seems that way.
