The discovery that Cindy Lou, a character from The Grinch, is now a rock star in a metal band shocked many.

 

As Momsen recalled on the Podcrushed podcast, she said, “First of all, The Grinch changed my life in a multitude of ways – one of them being I was made fun of relentlessly.” Momsen was a former co-star of Gossip Girl.

“I don’t even believe the pupils remembered my name if I started a new school or went someplace else.

My name was ‘Grinch Girl’. Just ‘Grinch Girl’, without even the character’s name shown. It was alienating, but I eventually adapted to it.

The artist recognizes the happiness and nostalgia the movie offers viewers despite her own personal hardships.

She acknowledged the film’s timeless appeal in a 2020 interview with NBC’s Today, saying, “I think it’s something to look forward to since.

It comes around every year. And I believe that it just makes everyone who sees it feel happy and joyful.
