Tren de Aragua, the most dreaded gang in the United States, has given birth to a rival gang that threatens to cause twice as much misery and mayhem throughout the country.
Tren de Aragua (TdA) gave birth to Anti-Tren, a rival that engages in similar illegal activity and has been mentioned in a federal indictment for the first time.
In a federal indictment released in April, federal prosecutors accused 21 individuals of being members of Anti-Tren and operating prostitution and drug operations in the New York City region.
The government disclosed that “Anti-Tren is a criminal organization almost exclusively composed of former members and associates of TdA.”
Members of Anti-Tren began their work in South America, operating there for years prior to crossing the US-Mexico border during the Biden years, just like TdA began in a prison in Venezuela.
