Another Plymouth man, John Grimes, claimed that although he purchased his house six years prior, an attorney called him in September of last year to inform him that it was up for sale.
Additionally, an engineering firm arrived on his house to lay out a plot plan for the land while he was at home.
According to Grimes, his parents had previously nearly had their Cape Cod beachfront access land stolen.
“Don’t do anything, you’re a part of a scam,” I told him. ‘Oh my God, this is still occurring,’ I thought,” he added.
“My mother was in a state of panic she said ‘absolutely not, the land is not on sale,'” Grimes recalled.
After that, the man registered for free notice alerts regarding any registry of deeds and reported fraud to the FBI.
