The first trailer for the live-action Minecraft film starring Jason Momoa and Jack Black has been released.

The response has been highly critical; some fans have even gone so far as to implore Warner Brothers not to release the movie, calling it “atrocious.”

Despite Warner Brothers’ prior success with Coyote vs. Acme and Batgirl, it seems improbable given the film’s enormous $150 million budget.

“Turn this into a Tax write off instead of Coyote vs. Acme,” a fan tweeted. One more person said, “DO NOT RELEASE THIS.” “Who decided this needed to be live action?” tweeted a third person. Terminate them.”

A lot of people have expressed disbelief in Jack Black’s portrayal of Steve, with many focusing on one aspect in particular. One said,

“I’m crying they deadass just said ‘Here, just wear this blue shirt'” Someone more wrote: “So Jack Black playing Jack Black,” whilst another wrote:

“All I can picture is them walking around a green screen with the studio lights, this really should have just been a completely animated feature.”
