A police retirement party with hundreds of off-duty cops. In Woodlawn, Maryland, the armed robbers broke into the take-out area of Monaghan’s Pub.
Police claimed they ran off with an unidentified quantity of cash after holding up an employee at gunpoint, the news site said. Officer Jennifer Peach of Baltimore County Police said,
“The person behind the counter at that time knew that a police officer’s retirement party was taking place, so they went into the other portion and alerted the officers.
To the fact that they had just been involved in an armed robbery.” Officers who weren’t on duty at the event hurried out and arrested the guys.
According to the report, they were being detained without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center on charges of armed robbery and weapon possession.
