Green’s current fiancé questioned him about why he had never addressed reports that he had “groomed” Fox when he was younger during the Old-ish recording.
“I believe my dad is the source of it. He’s excellent at removing emotion from situations and making logical decisions,” he replied.
“I rationally realized that if I stick up for myself only once, it won’t stop. People will think what they want to believe, so I’m going to have to defend myself for however long.
Therefore, the only thing that controls it, in my opinion, is time. After observing me not acting in that manner for a longer period of time, people begin to doubt it and say things like, “We’ve seen him for five years.”
We have never once witnessed him acting in a domineering manner or heard any other accounts from others regarding him. It’s a long-term strategy.
He went on: “It seems like the grooming and controlling stuff just keeps getting less and less until I run into people who are like.
‘Yeah, I used to think that, or that seemed to be the case,’ but they just genuinely don’t believe that anymore,” he said.
