The man who broke the “signed Taylor Swift guitar” he had just paid $4,000 for at last gives an explanation for his actions.

The fascinating story of a guy who spent $4,000 to purchase an autographed Taylor Swift guitar at auction and then promptly destroyed it has been revealed.

As you may have seen, the guitar was up for auction and sold for $4,000 during the event. It included a huge portrait of the 34-year-old pop singer along with other artwork.

Unfortunately, according to the Independent, it ended up in the hands of a guy who wanted it destroyed rather than in the hands of a Swiftie who would treasure it forever.

The extraordinary occurrence happened at a Texas charity event called the Ellis County Wild Game Dinner.

An elderly guy is shown holding up a guitar and a hammer in a widely shared TikTok video. The winning bidder then takes over and strikes the instrument repeatedly, finally puncturing holes in it.
