Northern Ireland is under a separate amber warning that is in effect from 1am to 9pm on Saturday and covers a wider area of the UK’s west coast, from Scotland to Cornwall, according to forecasters.
With over 100 flood warnings and alerts in effect around the UK, the fourth named storm of the season is also predicted to deliver significant rainfall throughout the weekend.
Wales is under an amber rain warning from 3 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, with heavy rains expected to cause infrastructure and transportation disruptions.
20 to 30 mm of rain is expected to fall in three to six hours during periods of heavy rain across south and mid Wales through Saturday.
By the time the rain starts to lessen in the evening, the total is expected to reach 80 to 90 mm. Parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland.
