To Stewart’s surprise, the lady said that in addition to the $80 for the service, a $20 to $30 tip was “definitely” required.
Stewart felt compelled to defend herself, refusing the request for a greater gratuity, even if her younger self could have just given over $20. The lady at the salon was obviously not pleased by this.
The lady argued that the service cost just paid the salon’s rent rather than leaving well enough alone, but Stewart wasn’t convinced.
Rather, she closed it down, claiming it wasn’t her issue. Stewart told the lady that while it was “unfortunate” that workers weren’t paid enough,
