The president writes a letter of goodbye to Joe Biden without specifically endorsing Kamala Harris.

While Barack Obama did commend Joe Biden for dropping out of the 2024 presidential race, he refrained from endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris for the Democratic nomination.

The 46th president of the US made a shocking statement on social media on Sunday (July 21) that he is not running for reelection in November.

To “my fellow Americans,” the 81-year-old wrote: “It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your President.”

“While it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term,” said he.
