The president writes a letter of goodbye to Joe Biden without specifically endorsing Kamala Harris.

he must be facing one of his greatest challenges in deciding to nominate someone else. To Obama, Biden’s decision was “right for America,” and he praised him for it,

calling it “a testament” to Biden’s “love of country” and a “historic example of a genuine public servant once again putting the interests of the American people ahead of his own that future generations of leaders will do well to follow.”.

Despite saying that the Democratic Party “will be navigating uncharted waters in the days ahead,” Obama did not endorse Harris in the statement.

He did, however, express “extraordinary confidence that the leaders of our party will be able to create a process from which an outstanding nominee emerges.”
