Youngsters in the Cockpit
Eldar, 16, and Yana, 12, Yaroslav’s children, were not your usual travelers. During their stay, Eldar, eager to explore, started to play with the controls of the airplane.
Eldar was able to unintentionally turn off the autopilot for around 30 seconds while it was in operation.
The teenager’s actions led the plane to drastically swerve off course, and this short interval was enough to push it into a hazardous spiral.
This sudden change was captured on the cockpit audio, which also showed the ensuing anxiety and bewilderment.
