According to their rep, RuPaul’s Drag Race star The Vivienne passed away at the age of 32. RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’s inaugural season was won by drag queen performer James Lee Williams.
Williams, who was born in Wales, took on the drag moniker because of their reputation for dressing like Vivienne Westwood.
Williams was described as a ‘very loved, warm-hearted and brilliant person’ by their spokesman Simon Jones, who made the announcement on Sunday evening (January 5).
“We regret to inform you that our beloved James Lee Williams, also known as The Vivienne, passed away this past weekend,” Jones said in an Instagram statement.
“The loss of their son, brother, and uncle has devastated their family.” The amazing accomplishments James accomplished in their life and job fill them with pride.
