TCN’s HARAHAN, Louisiana — A lady was found guilty of murder after a jury found that she was not mad for killing her boyfriend’s little kid and leaving her body on the child’s mother’s yard.
A jury rejected Bunnak “Hannah” Landon’s insanity defense, according to a statement from the Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s Office.
Her lawyers claimed that “a mental defect prevented her from distinguishing right from wrong.” At first, Landon entered a not guilty plea and.
A not guilty by reason of insanity. She was found guilty on May 1 of two charges of obstruction of justice and first-degree murder in relation to the death of 6-year-old Bella Fontenelle.
On May 6, Landon will get his sentencing. Fontenelle’s father reported Fontenelle and Landon missing to the Harahan Police Department on April 27, 2023.
After conducting an investigation at his residence, police proceeded to Fontenelle’s mother’s home, which was located around two blocks away.
