Fontenelle’s bones were found by the police there in a “large plastic bucket in the front yard.” At the scene, she was declared dead. Video footage that investigators were able to get purportedly.
Showed Landon hauling a cart along the block where Fontenelle’s mother and father resided. After finding Landon in a hospital, police detained her on suspicion of murder.
Fontenelle and her sister spent the afternoon of April 25, 2023, with their grandmother, who then dropped them off at home, according to the district attorney’s office.

At 9:30 p.m. At 9:45 p.m., Landon went back home, departed, and never returned. When Fontenelle’s father got home from work, he immediately went to bed.
At 11:45 p.m., Landon allegedly proceeded to the Harahan Police Department headquarters, but he refused to cooperate with the authorities.
