There was “no chance of survival” for the dog that was stuck in the canal; yet, rescue has led to a second chance.

When a senior dog was trapped in the middle of a canal, she was in a state of distress. However, she was saved and provided with the much-needed love and care that she need, and today she has an incredible new beginning. ❤️

On June 16, a Good Samaritan saw a tragic scene: a terrified dog was trapped in the middle of a canal, and the only thing that was keeping her alive was a shopping cart that was buried in water.

The Phoenix Fire Department and Hunter Stribling, an emergency animal medical technician with the Arizona Humane Society,

Hurried to the site of the incident because there was little time to waste. Along with one another, they devised a strategy to reach her by using a ladder and several AHS rescue gadgets.

The American Humane Society (AHS) said in a news statement that the dog, who is now known as Dorothea and is ten years old,

“would have little to no chance of survival” if they had not rescued her in a timely manner. In addition, they said that she was “scared but open to receiving help,”
