As reported by the Metro, Hannah allegedly wrote to one of her loved ones, “I got tricked pretty much into giving away all my funds for someone I thought I loved.”
Earlier this month, however, Los Angeles Police Chief Jim McDonnell said that there was no proof Kobayashi was a victim of human trafficking or any other criminal activity.
“At this time, we’ve essentially done all we can. “My ask would be to anybody considering doing this, think about the people you’re leaving behind.
Your loved ones who are going to be worried sick about you,” he added, urging her to send a “simple message” after she left the country and was now in another country.
Hannah’s family urged the public to refrain from conjecture and concentrate on accurate facts about the case in spite of the floating speculations about her location.
“It is essential to raise awareness and disseminate accurate information regarding her case, and we sincerely appreciate your ongoing assistance in these endeavors,” they said.
Although the specifics of Kobayashi’s disappearance are still unknown, her family and people who carefully followed the story are relieved that she was safely returned.
