I selected my spouse because I adore him for who he is and because he provides for many of my needs.

I choose him even though he’s not wealthy, he’s not a GQ model, and yeah, he irritates me sometimes. And instead of waiting for “the one,” I decide to love him for who he is.

28 years of marriage! I didn’t realize it at the time, but to be honest, he was the one despite our ups and downs.

‘The one’ may sometimes be an ideal based on priorities while you’re young, but as you become older, you discover that some of those attributes aren’t as significant anymore.
