WANF/Gray News, Atlanta According to Georgia police, a 14-year-old kid was shot and died in broad daylight while playing basketball in his yard.

In what is thought to have been a planned attack, 14-year-old Demarrion Carter was shot and killed in LaGrange on Friday. His family is in grief.

According to WANF, Carter’s family characterized him as a calm, kind youngster who had a bright future before gun violence ended it.

“I am stunned and incredulous. “I am at a loss for words,” Carter’s friend and mentor Khamani Ehilpotts remarked.

Carter loved basketball, fishing, and the Empowerment 3D mentorship program while attending LaGrange High School. Five years ago, he met another guru, Damien Greer, there.
