Authorities say the guy who reportedly abused the Florida lady who was abducted, severely beaten, and kept hostage in a storage container is now in jail after she managed to escape.
The man is also accused of killing her mother-in-law. At a news conference Tuesday morning, Sheriff Kevin Crews informed reporters that.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office got a 911 call at around 5:20 p.m. on Monday, April 28, from a bystander who discovered a victim of a “brutal attack” on Douglas Ferry Road.
According to Crews, deputies discovered “a lady in distress” who was still unclothed and in need of medical assistance when they got on the scene.
The woman reportedly told authorities that her husband and brother-in-law “are thieves and owe me money and I’m here to take it” when David Earl Gipson, of Caryville, visited her home on Sunday.
He reportedly assaulted the lady, bound her, and took off her clothes after taking some things out of the house. She says he started assaulting.
